Our Team

James Motley

PRESIDENT

James brings over 10 years’ experience of hands-on government contracts and program management experience. Prior to starting Applied Knowledge Concepts, James served as the Director of Workforce Development for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).  His team of program management professionals managed over 20 million dollars in talent development contracts for DLA which also serviced several small and large government agencies. In his various roles, James has specialized in large and small acquisition proposal support and contract management.  His primary area of expertise falls in development and facilitation of a broad range of leadership and managerial training competencies.  Some other areas he has extensive contract management experience would be, ICF executive coaching, leader development assessments, mentoring program management, learning management systems and online course training programs. James is well versed in the FAR and has spent years performing hands-on cradle to grave contract administration with added expertise in contract compliance, and acquisition support. James has also worked as Production Quality Control Manager for the Anheuser Busch Columbus Brewery and is a Retired US Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer with extensive service and training in Submarines where he was a certified Master Training Specialist .
